DIY Frame Kit - includes 1/4″ (10′) or 3/8″ thick solid ash lattice with Perfect Circle Technology™, steel tension cable, Perfect Circle™ Door Frame and Spreader Bars, compression ring, and instructions for creating your own fabric cover. 100% ready to go, just bolt the lattice together and you are ready to setup your yurt. Frame comes unfinished, but we can provide a 100% non-toxic oil finish or you can provide your own paint or stain. Come up with you own yurt coverings! Try thatch, corrugated metal, banana leaves!
Locust wood upgrade – Upgrade your yurt frame to the most rot-resistant wood on the East Coast, Black Locust. This extremely strong and hard wood is so resistant to rot and decay that it is used as fence posts without chemical preservatives. Lasts 20+ years in contact with the ground so it will last nearly forever standing as a yurt frame. Great for yurts used as greenhouses or dual camping/greenhouse yurts. Also available in White oak, another rot-resistant and super strong local wood
7′ Tall walls – Our amazing yurt frame is available in 7′ tall walls in all sizes. Increases headroom and door height for all tall customers or those wanting a voluminous and airy feel.
Heavy Duty Ground Cover - Heavy duty 12 oz polyolefin coated and fire-resistant ground cloth pre-cut to fit with 1′ bathtub wall for waterproofness.
Holiday Fabric Upgrade - Holiday fabric from Marchem CFI is a highly technical fabric developed to be used in harsh outdoor climates as a waterproof and beautiful fabric. It is coated on both sides and looks as great on the inside as it does on the outside. It is rated for minimum of 5 years of continuous exposure (which should last you a lifetime of intermittent use).
Panoram Screen Window - 360 degrees of fresh air, views, and mosquito -stopping mesh can surround your yurt with this option. Zippered fabric covers keep out rain and increase privacy.
Sunforger Cotton Canvas Cover - Mold, mildew, and fire resistant treated cotton canvas cover material. A natural alternative to our top-quality polyester cover fabrics. Heavier in weight and bulkier, but slightly cheaper. More UV resistant than polyester.
Seam Sealing - All of our yurt covers have expertly sewn seams. Healthy fabrics, such as our polyester and cotton fabrics, don’t allow for heat or solvent welding. Seams in the roof cover are made waterproof by applying a seam sealer. You can do this at home after you setup the yurt, or have us do it here in our shop. We offer it as an option because it will take 3 extra days to ship your yurt while we wait for the sealer to fully cure.
Greenhouse Cover – Heavy duty clear polyolefin fabric cover to use the yurt as a moveable greenhouse. This fabric is currently used in commercial greenhouses and is tear-resistant a UV stable. Yurt greenhouses are easy to move and store when not in use. Add a greenhouse cover to any yurt for dual purpose use ($1000)
Tie Down Anchors - 3″ diameter auger style screw-in ground anchors to secure the yurt for extended use.
Reflective Insulation - One layer of reflective bubble insulation (Tempshield™). Roof insulation for the Zephyr helps to block the hot summer sun, or get a full layer of insulation to use your yurt in the winter.
